Yet migration and dispossession change both the person and the place, so return cannot simply restore an earlier condition. Phokojoe’s reused cloth carries that complication. It comes back altered by transport, handling and repair. Within HEAT’s Ctrl + Z, the work rejects the fantasy of a clean reversal and instead proposes return as a renewed responsibility to what survives.
